Views are being sought on a draft planning document to help guide development in the parish of Stowe Nine Churches.
Stowe Nine Churches Parish Council has produced the Village Design Statement, which covers the villages of Church Stowe and Upper Stowe.
Its aim is to provide a set of guidelines that will influence future development in order to maintain and enhance the area’s particular character and setting.
The draft document has been prepared with support from Daventry District Council (DDC) and is now subject to a six-week consultation to allow people to make comments on it.
People can view the draft Village Design Statement for Stowe Nine Churches at DDC’s Lodge Road offices, Daventry Library, The Old School Rooms and St Michael’s Church in Church Stowe and The Barn Café at the Old Dairy Farm Craft Centre in Upper Stowe.
It can also be viewed on our village design statements page.
The consultation will close at 4.30pm on Friday 6 December.
Any comments made during the consultation period will be considered by the District Council and incorporated into the final document as appropriate. DDC will then decide whether to adopt the new Village Design Statement at a meeting of the full council.
If adopted, it will be used to help decide planning applications in Church Stowe and Upper Stowe.
