Residents in Northampton are the latest to be able to take part in the Northamptonshire Waste Partnership’s (NWP) ‘In to Win’ scheme, which gives people the chance to win monthly prizes from vouchers to days out as an incentive for recycling their food waste

The scheme has been running in Daventry District, Corby Borough, East Northamptonshire and South Northamptonshire council areas since November 2015.

To sign up visit

Everyone who signs-up is sent a registration pack including an ‘I’m In’ sticker for their outside food waste caddy and a leaflet reminding them of all the things that can be put in it.

Then all they need to do is put their food waste out for recycling each week. One winner is chosen every month from each of the five council areas taking part, and can choose from a range of prizes shown on the website or choose to donate the cash equivalent to their local food bank.

The Northamptonshire Waste Partnership (NWP) is a partnership of all Northamptonshire councils and was set up to improve joint working arrangements on waste management matters. Another key objective is to improve the effective delivery of waste services across the county.
