Appeal following unlawful slaughter of lambs

Thieves killed and butchered 35 lambs in two incidents on farms in Daventry District this week.

The first incident saw 14 lambs killed on a farm in Crick overnight Sunday into Monday (July 7 and 8), while the second happened on a farm in Whilton overnight Tuesday into Wednesday (July 9/10), when 21 lambs were killed.

Sam Dobbs, the Daventry District Neighbourhood Sergeant for Northamptonshire Police, has provided more information in this update

An investigation into the crime is underway and officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area during the times stated, anyone who has any relevant dash cam footage or anyone who has any information that may assist their enquiries.
