School poster competition

Fancy winning some recycled stationery and/or a compost bin for use in your school?

Our waste management team is touring schools across Daventry District for a series of assemblies and workshops focusing on how we can all reduce, reuse and recycle our waste.

And as part of those visits, we're inviting schoolchildren to create posters that will help encourage people to reduce the amount of waste that they put into their black bins.

How to enter

To enter, create a poster with your ideas for how people can reduce, reuse and recycle their waste, and send it back to us at:

  • Daventry District Council
    Waste Management Team
    Lodge Road
    NN11 4FP

Alternatively email:

Please remember to include your name, school, and class/year group with your entry.

The best ideas will be published on this page to help encourage people to Slim Their Bins.

The top three ideas from each key stage, as judged by the Council’s Waste Management Team, will win a set of recycled stationary plus an optional compost bin for their school.
