Play Areas and Diamond Jubilee Skate Park

The following facilities have been closed:

  • All public play areas/play equipment in Daventry town
  • Car parks and other facilities at Borough Hill, Daventry Country Park and Cracks Hill.

You may still visit parks and open spaces for a walk or outdoor exercise, but only strictly in accordance with current Government rulings around social distancing for Covid-19.

We would urge members of the public to adhere to the social distancing rules to ensure that the safety of all residents comes first during these unprecedented times.

It should be reiterated that people should only leave their homes once a day for one form of exercise and not be in groups of 2 or more, except where they are in the same household. Police have powers to enforce these rules

We would urge people not to visit play areas anywhere in the district in accordance with government guidance. If anyone would like further guidance on this for play areas in their area, they should contact their local parish council.

Play areas

Daventry District Council provides playgrounds and play areas across Daventry town. Daventry Norse is the Council's partner with responsibility for the maintenance of the 42 equipped play areas within Daventry town.
