Immigration property suitability inspections
Applications for permanent residency in, or visitors to, this country from some countries are usually required by that country’s British High Commission or British Embassy to provide a letter from the Local Authority of intended residency. This letter will confirm if the property is fit to live in, in accordance with housing legislation, and also that the addition of the person(s) entering the country will not cause the property to be statutory overcrowded.

Details of current application fees can be found here. Payment can be made by card (call us on 01327 871100) or by cheque made payable to Daventry District Council. You will need to completed the Application for Immigration Clearance Form
Upon receipt of the application you will be contacted to arrange a visit to the property to carry out an inspection. Upon completion of the inspection Daventry District Council will provide a letter to Her Majesty's Immigration Service (HMIS) confirming the suitability of the property for the number of visitors & those already occupying the property.
