Foundation Food Safety
This is our most popular course and will benefit anyone working where food is prepared, cooked and served. It is relevant to all catering operations, including pubs, hotels, restaurants, travel, contract catering, charity kitchens, fast-food outlets, in hospitals, care and nursing homes, schools, prisons and the armed forces.
The course programme is as follows:
- Introduction to Food Safety
- Food hygiene requirements
- Food Safety Hazards
- Taking Temperatures
- Refrigeration, Chilling & Cold Holding Foods
- Cooking, Hot Holding & Re-heating Foods
- Food Handling
- Principles of Safe Food Storage
- Food Premises and Equipment.
The courses run at our offices in Lodge Road, Daventry (NN11 4FP) from 9.30am until 5pm with an hour break for lunch (not provided). A course book is included in the fee and there is a final assessment in the form of a short multiple choice paper.
