Dog Warden Service

Dog Warden Service

The role of the Council's Dog Warden Service is to promote responsible dog ownership and enforce Dog Control Order legislation where possible. The council not only deals with complaints but can provide advice on a range of issues including, barking dogs, stray dogs, dangerous dogs, dog fouling and the enforcement of Dog Control Orders.  The Council also provides a dog chipping service.

Authorised officers patrol parks and open spaces and specific areas where dog fouling has been reported.  You can be issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice of £100 if you do not clean up after your dog. Please use the dog waste bins that have been provided.
