Protect and enhance the environment

This Theme Group is responsible for identifying and delivering on the environmental priorities for Daventry District.  The high level priorities that have been identified for 2010-2013 are:

• Combat climate change (mitigation and adaptation)

• Improve the environment

From these priorities the group are focusing on the following outcomes in 2011/12.

• Reduce harmful emissions

• Increase biodiversity

• Reduce household waste

• Cleaner streets and open spaces

• More affordable housing

The theme group is working in partnership to deliver the following projects in Daventry District: 

• Cycle Promotion; and

• Grand Union Canal - Volunteer Programme
