Rural information centres

Daventry District Council has a number of bases in the rural areas of the district, which play an important role in delivering the council’s services to residents.

Brixworth, Moulton, Long Buckby and Woodford Halse now have online self-service points enabling residents to access a wide range of services at their own convenience via this website during library opening hours.

There is a dedicated phone line direct to the Council for anyone who has queries about how to use the online self-serve system.

Councillor Colin Poole, Portfolio Holder for Access and Communication at Daventry District Council, said: “The new self-service points will allow the Council to make savings while providing a more accessible service to our customers.

“Lots of the queries that residents have who use the rural information centres are already available on our website, which is why we are able to make these changes.

“Data shows that our rural centres have had very minimal footfall in recent months from people wanting to access DDC’s services so we are confident these changes can be made with the minimum amount of disruption.”

The full range of the council’s services can be found on this website, which has undergone an update in the new year to improve access and make self-service even easier.
