An event aimed at raising the awareness of diabetes is set to take place later this month.
A diabetes awareness afternoon is being held at Guilsborough Surgery on November 24 from 2pm to 4pm, when information and advice will be available from a representative of Diabetes UK.
Finger prick blood tests will also be carried out by the practice nurse from 4pm to 6pm.
The session is being held for patients who are registered at the surgery practice, and has been organised by the Guilsborough Surgery Patient Participation Group.
The event is open to all patients registered at Guilsborough Surgery and whether they are diabetic or if they would just like to find out more about the condition, the management of it and reducing the risks of developing it, they can go along to the surgery in West Haddon Road, Guilsborough, when refreshments will be available.
Anyone who would like to get information about the role of the Guilsborough Surgery Patient Participation Group will also be able to get details from the surgery.
