Young people from a Daventry school were rolling back the years when they took part in a roller disco as part of National School Sports Week.

The session on Tuesday, at Daventry Leisure Centre, in Lodge Road, was among the activities organised for Daventry’s William Park School, in conjunction with the recreation team at Daventry District Council.

More than 650 pupils took part in the roller skating, swimming, badminton, kickboxing, badminton or aerobics last week.

The activities were made possible through the community sports network Daventry Active, which is backing the National School Sport Week, aiming to highlight achievements in school sport and introduce new activities.
