Bright new website offers even more to residents

New website

Daventry District Council has unveiled its new-look website – giving residents and businesses greater access to information and services.

The redesigned site has a bright new look, extra features and more chances for visitors to interact with the Council. It is also easier for users to find their way around and has a front page constantly updated to give the latest local news, travel reports and weather updates.

Services which will be added to the site over the coming months include online booking for certain local events and venues, forums to discuss local issues and an events diary.

A range of online forms will also be introduced for visitors, from applying for jobs to making online payments.

Judy Gregory, Executive Director at Daventry District Council, said: “The website will continue to evolve in the coming months as we get further feedback from users and add more features.

“At the heart of the new site is a sophisticated A to Z system to help people quickly and easily find the information they want, including frequently asked questions, forms and council details.

“It should feel very familiar and easy to use as we have deliberately mirrored the style of other council documents, such as Daventry Calling.”

Mrs Gregory added: “While the site is obviously focused on services delivered by the council, it also carries other information which will be of interest to residents of Daventry District. This includes county council services, like education, as well as travel and weather, and the news on the front page will be constantly updated to ensure there is always something fresh to see.”
