Daventry district residents are being urged to share their experiences of the recent water crisis to highlight any areas where the response could have been improved.
Daventry District Council is working with Northampton Borough Council on a joint scrutiny review of how Anglian Water responded to the cryptosporidium contamination which affected water supplies for around 100,000 homes across the area.
The district council wants local residents to pass on their comments – good and bad – about how the outbreak was handled.
The findings of the review will be presented to Anglian Water, the Drinking Water Inspectorate and Northamptonshire County Council.
Two public meetings have been arranged by Northampton Borough Council for anyone who wants to join the discussion.
The meetings will take place at the Guildhall, in St Giles Square, Northampton, on Wednesday 23 July, from 3pm to 5pm, and then 6pm to 8pm.
Simon Bovey, Managing Director of Daventry District Council, said: “Every houshold in the district was affected by the contamination and it is important that we feed back our experiences of how the crisis was dealt with.
“This review is a good way for people to have their say and provide valuable information about your experience. We want to hear from people, whether they think things could have been done better or whether Anglian Water took the best course of action.”
Anyone unable to attend the meetings can offer their views by completing the questionnaire.
