Daventry District Council has launched a programme of different sporting activities for young people.
Sport Unlimited offers the opportunity for youngsters to get active and try something new with a range of activities.
The Council will be working with partners across the county to deliver sessions in Street Dance, Futsal (five-a-side indoor football), Boxing, Water Polo, Equestrian Vaulting and Synchronised Swimming.
Street Dance is taking place every Wednesday, from January 6 to March 17 at Daventry Leisure Centre, and costs £30 for all 10 weeks.
Futsal is free and is taking place at all four secondary schools in Daventry District – Daventry William Parker School, Danetre Secondary School, Guilsborough Secondary School and Moulton Secondary School.
The sessions will be delivered by Northampton Town FC coaches and will culminate in a Daventry District Futsal Competition at Moulton College on March 29.
Boxing will take place at the Phoenix Youth Community Centre, every Wednesday, from February 3 to March 31, at a cost of £10 for 8 weeks.
Equestrian Vaulting involves aerobic moves on horseback and youngsters don’t need to be able to ride a horse to take part. The sessions will run every Wednesday from January 27 to March 15 at Moulton College and costs £60 for 8 weeks.
Water Polo and Synchronised Swimming are both taking place at Daventry Leisure Centre, costing £20 for 8 weeks. Water Polo will be on Friday nights, from January 22 to March 12, while Synchronised Swimming will be on Saturday mornings, starting on January 23 to March 13.
