There are ten Household Waste Recycling Centres in the county which provide a service for the public to bring household waste, garden waste, recyclables and other items such as unwanted furniture and white goods for disposal, reuse and recycling.
The sites are managed by waste management company Enterprise Managed Services (EMS) on behalf of Northamptonshire County Council. Some changes to how the sites are operated will be introduced from 21st June 2010.
