Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Assessment

The Housing Act 2004 states that all Local Authorities should carry out an assessment of the need of Ethnic Minority Groups who reside or resort to their district, including Gyspies and Travellers. As a result, a County-Wide Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Assessment (GTAA) was published with analysis of the needs of Gypsies and Travellers for each Local Authority in Northamptonshire.

The 2004 Housing Act also states that each Local Authority must prepare a strategy in respect of meeting the identified need for such minority groups and this is set out in more detail in Daventry District Council's Housing Strategy.
