Housing Decision Appeal

Applicants can be excluded from the housing register for reasons such as anti-social behaviour or rent arrears. If the applicant does not agree with the decision to exclude them, they can appeal. Applicants can appeal if they feel their housing application has not been dealt with correctly, or if they feel the incorrect number of points have been awarded, for example.

Appealing against a decision

If an applicant has been refused a place on the housing register, or is unhappy with their allocation of housing points, they may ask for a review of the decision.

We will give the decision in writing and tell the applicant  how to ask for a review.

If the applicant feels that the points awarded are wrong, they should write to the Senior Housing Options officer,  explaining why you think that the points given are wrong.
