As well as a children’s play area this park boasts an outdoor bowls green with pavilion and three all weather tennis courts. The pavilion is manned through out the Summer Season (1st May to September) where the attendant will take bookings for boths the bowls and tennis courts.
The opening times during the season are as follows;
- Monday to Friday 10.00am until 1hr before sunset
- Saturday/Bank Holidays 10.00am until 1hr before sunset
- Sunday 2.00pm to 7.00pm

Daventry District Bowling Club
Daventry District Bowls Club is based at the Recreation Ground. They not only run the bowls club but also take bookings for the tennis courts.
The bowls club boasts one of the best greens in Northamptonshire. Literally everyone is welcome to come along and have a go with free coaching for beginners. New members are always welcome.
Flat shoes must be worn.
Tennis
The three all weather courts are manned throughout the opening times. Courts can be booked on the day, if availalbe or 7 days in advance via the attendant.

Skate Ramp
Daventry District Council funded the new and exciting Skate Ramp at the Recreation Ground that provide opportunities for individuals to practice their skills on this new 'Street Course'.
The ramp is ideal for in-line skates, roller skates and skateboards but not suitable for BMX's.
Although the skate ramp is great fun for those skaters, it can be dangerous so make sure protective skate wear is worn, i.e. kneepads and elbow pads and a helmet.
A list of safety instructions will be available at the ramp please make sure you read these prior to skating.
The ramp can be used during daylight hours.
