We meet in the Cafe at Daventry Leisure Centre
All walks last approximately 30 minute. All abilities welcome, please arrive 5 minutes before the start to register.

Daventry Club Roadshow - to include workshops on Funding, Safeguarding and Accreditation
The road show will provide your club with the opportunity to find out more on issues such as child welfare and safeguarding, working with local schools, sports development planning, club accreditation, funding opportunities and coach and volunteer development. The roadshow will also enable sports clubs to put their questions to district and county sports development professionals.

Football Camp
An opportunity to practice and develop your football skills in a safe, fun and friendly environment. The camp will comprise of technical coaching in the mornings, followed by competitions and tournaments in the afternoon. The week will culminate in trophies and medals handed out the the best performers.

Badminton Camp
DDC has organised a week long badminton camp for the February half - term. The camp will focus on improving young people's badminton skills and to further enhance these skills in game situation. Trophies and medals will be handed out at the end of the camp to the best performers.

THE RIDGE WALK 2010
Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th April 2010
Do something remarkable in 2010 and make a difference to the lives of deafblind children and adults.
Two routes... Two challenges!
§ Mega RIDGE WALK - complete 52 miles and climb 3'800 ft in 24 hours.
§ Mini RIDGE WALK - to complete 31 miles and climb 2'300 ft in 15 hours.
First of all let us assure you this is a challenge and is not for the feint hearted!
Regardless of which route you decide to tackle, this team challenge will test you and your team both physically and mentally. The trekking will be tough, the day will be long and at times you will question individually and as a team whether you can complete THE RIDGE WALK! You will need to be physically and mentally prepared to keep on going, to push the boundaries but working together you will find that anything is possible.
Success on this challenge is all about teamwork - from the moment that you register you will need to work as a team, you will need to train and prepare as a team, to fundraise as a team. It's this bond that is built and developed in the lead up to the event that will enable you to successfully take on and conquer THE RIDGE WALK - without this bond, failure is almost certain!
Why take part... for two reasons?
1. Sense
Sense is the leading national charity that supports and campaigns for children and adults that are deafblind. They provide expert advice and information as well as specialist services to deafblind people, their fami8lies, careers and the professionals who work with them. They also support people who have sensory impairments with additional disabilities.
2. For Yourself
To prove to yourself that you can achieve anything if you put your mind to it. That you and your team have the necessary skills, determination and desire to succeed and pledge to make a difference in 2010.
