Daventry District Council
.

Countryside - general information.

The Rangers’ at Daventry Country Park are committed to providing the community as a whole with the opportunity to enjoy the countryside on their doorstep.

It is our job to ensure that Daventry Country Park is, a welcoming place, is safe and secure and is well maintained and clean.  We are committed to using sustainable management techniques and to promoting conservation and our shared heritage.  We also ensure that the service is well marketed and properly managed via up to date management methods.

We endeavour to meet the expectations of all our visitors, and to improve and target our service so as to encourage people in the district, who may not have been to Daventry Country Park before, to take advantage of the service.  We believe that it is vitally important that the ranger service develops strong links with the local community, especially schools and community groups.

We are able to tailor our environmental education programme to meet the needs of the national curriculum, which has ensured that local schools have good reason to use and continue to use this facility.  We believe that this Country Park is able to provide to the district the opportunity for improving fitness, confidence and knowledge.

We hope that by using this facility people can gain a greater understanding of the countryside and all it has to offer, thereby increasing the enjoyment they experience from being in the countryside, wherever that may be.  Daventry Country Park is in a constant state of appraisal, if you have any ideas of how we could improve the service we deliver we would be happy to hear about them.
