Events that are held every year are as follows:
Wassailing of the Community Orchard - 1st weekend of New Year (exc Bank Holidays)
Easter Egg Hunt - Easter Weekend
Community Allotment Garden Open Day - Mid July on a weekend
Countryside Day - 2nd weekend in May
Please check times and availability of these events before arrival at the Park.
Mapped and measured Health Walks. There are maps of these walks available from the Visitor Centre and the Rangers' Office. There are three walks and they are; a 2½ mile walk around the reservoir and through meadows, a 1½ mile walk through all of the meadows and a shorter 1 mile walk through the meadows. These walks are always clearly marked and easy to follow, even for the absolute beginner.
Fishing day tickets. There is 400m of bank fishing. Anglers can expect to catch, Pike, Tench, Roach, Perch and Bream. The largest fish caught and recorded was a 23 lb pike.
Youth Canoe Club Hut. A newly built facility free to use by BCU trained coaches. Built by the Ranger Service and volunteers. Thank you very much to the volunteers.
Mapped Orienteering Courses. These are permanent courses for Daventry Country Park, Borough Hill and Cracks Hill. The maps are available from the Rangers' Office. We are happy to provide them for individuals and groups.
