In Daventry District, country pleasures abound - you can explore the countryside on foot, on horseback or by bicycle; enjoy sailing or a gentle canal cruise. The District is justifiably famous for its historic houses - Althorp, Canons Ashby, Cottesbrooke Hall, Holdenby House and Lamport Hall - and at Cottesbrooke and Coton Manor there are gardens of exquisite beauty.

An appealing destination in its own right, Daventry District's location makes it an ideal touring base for many attractions with Silverstone, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwick, Coventry, Birmingham, Oxford, Cambridge and the Cotswolds all within easy reach.
