Daventry PRT Scoping Study (SKM Final Report)

Note: page 4 (1. Introduction/1.1 Findings of the Phase 1 DPPSS report/4^th bullet point) contains an error that should be noted. It should read:

 ‘The viability of a 55km, 500 car network proposed in DDTS was likely to be marginal which is usual for a public transport project; hardly any fixed track systems in the world repay capital charges. At a fare of £1.60 and an operating cost of £96.9m PV (60 year appraisal period) there could be losses. However, forecast operating costs should be less than this while network optimization would probably save capital and other costs; the combined effects of which could restore viability.'
