Recycling net
Would you benefit from a net?
Are windy days making your plastic bottles blow out from your blue box? If so the above cover nets can ‘windproof’ your box.
Feedback from trials of this new system found it to be flexible, easy to use and very durable.
The nets are now available for collection from the following locations: the One Stop Shop, Lodge Road or from the information centres at Brixworth, Long Buckby and Woodford (please check opening times) or The Abbey.
Order online click here
Alternatively call (01327) 871100 to order and one will be posted to you.
When using the net please do not use the net to overfill the box over the top of the rim.
If you need extra space please order another blue box.
Bin black
The grey bin is for all other rubbish that cannot be recycled or composted. We will not take any extra bags/sacks left next to or on top of your bin, and bin lids must be closed. To help you manage your waste we recommend:
- Using smaller bags to contain your rubbish as these make best use of space within the bin
- Wrapping items prior to disposal
- Keeping the lid of the bin closed to reduce the risk of attracting flies or other vermin.
Recycling Pods
Flats and multi-occupancy properties
If it is not feasible to supply individual bins we will provide communal facilities. We will, where we can, provide recycling facilities as well.
Collection Information
When are they collected
Blue and red boxes go out together on the same day every week, with either the brown or grey bin which are collected on alternate weeks. Please note that the boxes may not be collected at the same time as the grey or brown bin.
Bins and boxes must be out by 6.30am on collection day, and placed at the nearest point of your property to the footpath or highway, closest to where the vehicles passes. Any collection changes, such as at Christmas and bank holidays will be indicated on the collection calendar.
Once your boxes and bins have been emptied, please move them off the footpath, back onto your property.
