Kerbside collections now take your Yellow Pages & White Envelopes
Yellow Pages directories and white envelopes with windows can now be left out for collection and recycling in the red box.
Due to advancements in the pulping process used by the re-processor, it is now easy to recycle unwanted white envelopes and Yellow Pages directories alongside, magazines, newspapers, BT directories, letters and flyers in the red boxes.
Yellow Pages directories should have any plastic bag covering removed before being placed in the red kerbside box.
White envelopes can also now be accepted, even if they have a clear window on them.
Brown envelopes should be placed in the brown bin – provided they don’t have a see-through window.
The enhanced service will not affect schools wanting to participate in the annual Yellow Woods challenge to recycle as many Yellow Pages as possible. Schools taking part will simply need to produce the front cover of copies already recycled through the kerbside collection service.
