Supplementary Planning Documents

Supplementary Planning Documents provide additional guidance on matters covered by Development Plan Documents. They are not part of statutory Development Plan, unlike Development Plan Documents. However, Supplementary Planning Documents form part of the Local Development Framework, and will be an important consideration in determining planning applications.

Existing Supplementary Planning Documents

Supplementary Planning Documents that are adopted by the Council and form part of Daventry's Local Development Framework are listed below:

Proposed Supplementary Planning Documents

There are several documents proposed in the Local Development Scheme to be produced as Supplementary Planning Documents over the next three years. These comprise:

  • Developer Contributions/Infrastructure
  • Affordable Housing
  • Masterplans for Allocated Sites

There are a number of stages, which a Supplementary Planning Document must go through before it is adopted by the Council. Communities of Daventry District have an opportunity to become involved in this process in several of these stages. This is further detailed in the Statement of Community Involvement
