Proposed Conservation Area at Daventry Country Park
The consultation on the proposal to designate a conservation area at Daventry Reservoir has now closed. The comments received during the consultation period are now being analysed, and a further report will be presented to the Council's Strategy Group early in the new year.
Joint Strategic Planning Committee
A Joint Strategic Planning Committee was established in July 2008. THe Committee is responsible for joint planning documents for West Northamptonshire (Daventry, South Northamptonshire and Northampton). A first meeting of the Committee was held on 21st October. Local Development Scheme
A revised Joint Local Development Scheme was agreed by the Joint Strategic Committee at its meeting on 21st October. This has now been agreed by the Secretary of State.
Major Planning Appeals
Three appeals have been made in respect of the non-determination of proposals for urban extensions at Daventry. The Inquiry will start on 20th January 2009. Information on the appeals can be obtained from the Planning Inspectorate web site. www.planning-inspectorate.gov.uk
Annual Monitoring Report
The Council is required to produce an Annual Monitoring Report (AMR) in order to monitor the performance of policies in Daventry's Local Plan and the Local Development Documents once they are adopted. This is done by assessing a number of targets and indicators, including Core Output Indicators, which are set out nationally by central Government. The AMR also monitors performance against the milestones set out in the Local Development Scheme.
