Plans, drawings and material submitted to the council are protected by the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (section 47).
You may only use material that is downloaded and/or printed for

consultation purposes,
- to compare current applications with previous schemes or
- to check whether developments have been completed in accordance with approved plans.
You must not use this material for other purposes or make further copies without the prior permission of the copyright owner (architect, designer, applicant, ordnance survey etc.). You may make copies of the Council's Decision Notices providing they are not altered in any way.
Files containing plans and documents are attached to open Planning Applications, these files may take a long time to download as they can be very big, they may not be suitable for dial-up internet connections.
Appeals
The Planning Inspectorate host an online service where you can search for and monitor appeals in your county, your town or even your street. They have also made it possible to make some types of appeal online!
