Plans, drawings and material submitted to the council are protected by the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, the documents are reproduced here under Section 47 of the Act, "Material open to public inspection or on official registers".
You may only use material that is downloaded and/or printed for

consultation purposes,
- to compare current applications with previous schemes or
- to check whether developments have been completed in accordance with approved plans.
You must not use this material for other purposes or make further copies without the prior permission of the copyright owner (architect, designer, applicant, ordnance survey etc.). You may make copies of the Council's Decision Notices, provided that they are not altered in any way.
Should you require signed copies of Decision Notices, Enforcement Notices or scale drawings a charge is payable for these, a copy of the charges are available here or you can contact 01327 871100.
Files containing plans and documents are attached to Planning Applications, these files may take a long time to download as they can be very big, they may not be suitable for dial-up internet connections.
Appeals
You can view associated appeal documents by searching for the relevant Planning Application using the online search facility. You will need to type in the Planning reference number, starting with DA, and select search. Once you have selected the correct application all documents are accessed via the MEDIA ITEMS tab. For all other appeal details the Planning Inspectorate host an online service where you can search for and monitor appeals in your county, your town or even your street. They have also made it possible to make some types of appeal online! You may also be given the opportunity to make comments on appeals online.
