The Electoral Register

The Electoral Register is a list of those adults living within the District who are entitled to vote in some or all types of Elections. It is updated annually, using details from the registration form sent to every property within the District each Autumn. However, in addition to this annual process, the Government has now introduced a system of rolling registration, which allows the Council to update the Register throughout the year on a monthly basis.

Make sure you are registered to vote

If you have moved house recently or are not already registered to vote, please telephone the Electoral Registration Office on (01327) 302515, and staff will be happy to progress your application by way of the rolling registration process. Alternatively download an application form directly from this link Voter Registration Form.

There are special rules about names being added to the voters list during an election period.  As a consequence you may not be able to vote at that election if you are added during this time.
