The Council is currently consulting with a view to adopting a County-wide House to House Collections Policy and Taxi Criminal Records Policy.

 

If you wish to make any comments on the draft Policy, please ensure that they are returned in writing to the address on the consultation letter or email (licensing@daventrydc.gov.uk) by Friday 29 October 2010.

 

 

Licensing Act 2003: Statement of Licensing Policy (3-yearly review)

This document is currently subject to consultation in accordance with its 3-yearly review.  The Licensing Act 2003 makes it a duty for the local authority to carry out its functions under the Act with a view to promoting the four licensing objectives:

• The prevention of crime and disorder
• Public safety
• The prevention of public nuisance, and
• The protection of children from harm
 
The purpose of the Statement of Licensing Policy is to detail how the authority will comply with that duty.

The Council produces a Corporate Strategic Plan every three years. The purpose of the plan is to define the council’s strategic focus. It sets out how the council will deliver its vision and objectives and how it will measure success.
