Mulberry Place has been unveiled as the name for this proposed retail development in Daventry town centre.
Predominantly a retail area providing a range of shops and a pedestrianised street along with a new and enhanced library to replace the current library in North Street. The new development will include strong pedestrian links to the High Street whilst vehicle access to a new shopper's carpark will be from Millennium Way.
Following a competitive tender process, DDC entered into a development agreement for both this site and Site 5 with Henry Boot plc in August 2007.
This is an important regeneration project at the heart of the substantial growth that will take place in Daventry. It will contribute greatly towards providing a revitalised and diverse town centre and significantly benefit the local and surrounding communities.
