Abbey Retail Park became the first phase of regeneration plans in the town to be completed when new ‘bulky goods’ shops opened in early 2009. Located off South Way, the retail park features a number of stores including Halfords, CarpetRight, Homebase, Pets at Home, Dreams and Paul Simon. It also includes a new Working Men’s Club for the town.
A new undercroft car park, accessed off the Old Welton Road opened in March 2009, This now offers additional long stay public carparking to this area of the town.
