Food safety training

Our most popular course is the ‘Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering’.  

 

This qualification will benefit anyone working where food is prepared, cooked and served. It is relevant to all catering operations,  for example, pubs, hotels, restaurants, travel, contract catering, charity kitchens, fast-food outlets, in hospitals, care and nursing homes, schools, prisons and the armed forces.

 

The course programme is as follows:-

  • Introduction to Food Safety

  • Legislation

  • Food hygiene requirements

  • Food Safety Hazards

  • Taking Temperatures

  • Refrigeration, Chilling and Cold Holding of Foods

  • Cooking, Hot Holding and Re-heating of Foods

  • Food Handling

  • Principles of Safe Food Storage

  • Cleaning

  • Food Premises and Equipment.

 

A short examination concludes the course and successful candidates are awarded the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering Certificate.

Cost: £59 per person

Refresher: £39 per person  providing you can supply poof of original certification including course materials and certificate.

Courses are held at our Lodge Road, Daventry offices which has ample free parking.
