Council Tax - Annual Bills

The Revenues and Benefits Service will issue annual bills for Council Tax by mid-March.

Please Note: The Council is moving the date that payment is due for monthly instalments of Council Tax and Business Rates. From April this year, payments will be due on the 1st of each month instead of the 15th.

In future businesses in the district are being encouraged to pay their Business Rates liability by direct debit, where instalments are automatically collected from their account on a set date. The method not only proves more convenient for payers, but also helps the Council save money on collection costs by reducing correspondence and postage.

Those who do decide to opt for direct debit in April will be given a choice of three payment dates – the 1st, 8th, or 15th of each month – where instalments will be automatically collected from their accounts.
