Daventry District Council can help you with all sorts of advice.

 

If you are on a low income and you rent your home you may qualify for Housing Benefit.  If you pay Council Tax you may be able to get help with Council Tax Benefit.

 

If you are part of a community group or voluntary organisation you may find help and advice here.

 

Where a service is not directly provided by Daventry District Council we have tried to provide a link to someone who may be able to help you.


Council tax

The Council Tax is a contribution that you must make to help pay for local services.

 

There is one bill for each home, whether it is owned or rented. The bill is based upon the capital value as determined on 1 April 1991 by the Inland Revenue's agency, The Valuation Office.

Housing and Council Tax benefit

Housing Benefit helps to pay your rent if you are on a low income.

If you rent your home from a private landlord or housing association or you are a boarder, lodger, or live in a hostel, we may be able to help by giving you benefit.
